About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the business, accounts, reporting cycles, and financial performance
  • Own the P&L, Balance Sheet, and business unit performance
  • Manage and escalate issues effectively
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, budgets, and monthly accounts
  • Use standard costing and variance analysis to provide visibility of production performance, material usage, and labour efficiency
  • Shape strategy and drive the business toward strategic goals
  • Present insightful Management Information to senior leaders
  • Enhance financial performance, profitability, and top-line growth of business units
  • Continuously improve Financial Planning and Analysis and commercial decision-making
  • Build and maintain positive relationships throughout the organisation
  • Travel regularly to manufacturing sites across the country

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent)
  • Commercial business knowledge and FP&A experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ambitious, determined, and eager to engage with leadership teams; driven to challenge the norm and contribute to strategic decision-making
  • Team player with motivation to succeed, resilience, and a well-organised, structured approach
  • Able to foster productive relationships across the businesses with multi-level contacts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Regular travel to manufacturing sites across the country
