About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, document, develop, modify, test, install, implement, and support new or existing application software
- Compile requirements, create solutions, and build, configure, or modify applications
- Investigate business and operational process opportunities and advise stakeholders on implementation
- Collaborate to maximize workflows and improve the end-user experience while maintaining image, data, and systems integrity
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot customer application problems and concerns
- Diagnose hardware, software, printing, and network connectivity issues
- Support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain HIPAA and regulatory compliance
- Monitor systems and ensure errors are resolved as soon as possible
- Provide IS customer support, quality assurance, project management support, system documentation, and system/workflow analysis and configuration
- Document concerns and resolutions appropriately
- Perform rotational 24x7 on-call support
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three years of experience in a related role
- Subject matter expertise in application analysis
- Knowledge of application software design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support
- Ability to diagnose hardware, software, printing, and network connectivity issues
- HIPAA and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain relevant certifications for the job and career ladder level, such as AGILE, EPIC, Microsoft, VMware VCAP, or Network Engineering Certificate
- Knowledge of fundamental IT concepts
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask
- Effective communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to sit and use arms and hands constantly; stand, walk, bend, and squat occasionally
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs.
