About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, document, develop, modify, test, install, implement, and support new or existing application software
- Compile requirements, create solutions, and build/configure/modify applications
- Investigate business and operational process opportunities and provide implementation advice to stakeholders
- Collaborate to maximize workflows and improve the end-user experience while maintaining image, data, and systems integrity
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot application-related customer problems or concerns
- Diagnose hardware, software, printing, and network connectivity issues
- Support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor systems to ensure system errors are resolved as soon as possible
- Maintain system security and follow industry best practices, including HIPAA compliance
- Document concerns and resolutions appropriately
- Provide rotational on-call 24x7 support
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three years of experience in a related role
- Relevant certifications for the job and career ladder level (e.g. AGILE; EPIC; Microsoft; VMware VCAP; Network Engineering Certificate)
- Ability to provide rotational on-call 24x7 support
- Ability to document concerns and resolutions appropriately
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs.
- Auditory and visual skills
- Ability to sit and use arms and hands constantly; occasional standing, walking, bending, and squatting
- Potential risk of exposure to chemicals
