About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent clients in contested probate matters, including will contests, trust disputes, estate administration issues, and guardianship disputes
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on complex contested probate matters
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to develop and implement effective case strategies
- Stay up-to-date with probate law, regulations, and industry best practices
- Maintain a degree of professional independence and flexibility in managing the practice
- Work with a steady caseload supplied by the firm
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in probate and estate litigation, with a focus on contested probate matters
- Compassion for sensitive elder law work
- Enjoys talking with and helping people
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing
- Comfortable with computers, email, using the internet, and learning new computer programs
