About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all financial aspects of the Area’s operation
- Implement and adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Maintain customer relationships
- Drive customer compliance, resource management, and other key metrics
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the construction and project management department
- Develop processes and procedures for successful project completion from start to finish
- Oversee Construction Supervisors, Managers, and Project Managers to ensure projects are on budget, safe, high-quality, and on schedule
- Assist with project disputes and negotiate resolutions to construction problems
- Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting deadlines and financial reporting requirements
- Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports
- Manage material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules
- Prioritize projects based on customer needs and escalations, and identify resource needs and assignments
- Evaluate employee performance, job assignments, retention, career paths, and team skill development
- Interface with customers, vendors, and subcontractors while identifying market growth opportunities
- Drive safety culture and monitor SSO compliance, MVI, TRIR, and DART metrics
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of progressively challenging leadership experience, preferably in a telecom construction environment
- High level of quality in tracking new and completed work
- Hands-on problem-solving approach
- Safety-minded approach
- Ability to coach and mentor a team and drive change when needed
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn custom software
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
