About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, cash flow plans, forecast plans, and monthly forecast budgets
- Monitor and communicate project milestones, risks, cost and schedule status, and forecast accuracy
- Prepare cost reports, project performance analyses, variance analyses, budget forecasts, financial status reports, dashboards, and visual management tools
- Identify cost and schedule variances and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and route Business Cases, Job Estimates, Project Charters, and Re-Authorizations for approval
- Prepare monthly vendor invoice accruals, journal entries, and purchase-order-related goods receipts
- Maintain project documentation, records, change logs, electronic files, and status reports
- Support regulatory and contractual compliance and manage project closeout activities
- Support change orders, risk mitigation, procurement, contracting, and contractor invoice issue resolution
- Coordinate and document project meetings, including kickoff sessions, site walk downs, design reviews, and lessons learned discussions
- Provide technical support for departmental databases, job status systems, reports, and data consolidation
- Analyze financial results and explain significant cost drivers to project management leadership
- Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives and special projects
- May manage low-complexity projects under mentorship
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience
- Experience may be accepted as an equivalent to the bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of project scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, documentation, and financial analysis
- Ability to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Ability to monitor project performance and identify risks and variances
- Ability to prepare cost and schedule reports
- Ability to manage project documentation, change logs, and closeout activities
- Ability to support procurement and contracting activities
- Experience or capability with project management and financial systems, including SAP/BW
- Ability to provide data analysis, dashboards, and visual management reports
- Ability to ensure regulatory, contractual, and organizational compliance
