About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather relevant information to define business problems
  • Link AI methodologies to identified business challenges
  • Develop AI/ML applications using current industry and academic advancements
  • Work cross-functionally and across borders with colleagues to execute the AI agenda
  • Participate in the Launch program, including orientation, professional skills workshops, Launch Innovation Week, social impact challenge, and Global Volunteer Challenge
  • Protect Mastercard information and assets by following security policies, maintaining confidentiality and integrity, reporting suspected breaches, and completing mandatory security training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or accelerated master’s program graduating between December 2026 – June 2027
  • Less than 1 year of professional work experience, excluding internships
  • Experience or demonstrated coursework in data analysis
  • Knowledge of deep learning algorithm techniques, open source tools and technologies, statistical tools, and programming environments such as Python, R, and SQL
  • Knowledge of big data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and GPU clusters for deep learning
  • Knowledge of classical machine learning algorithms, including Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Clustering, TSNE, PCA, Bayesian models, and Time Series ARIMA/ARMA
  • Knowledge of recommender systems, including Collaborative Filtering, FPMC, FISM, and Fossil
  • Knowledge of deep learning and machine learning techniques including Random Forest, GBM, KNN, SVM, Bayesian models, text mining, Multilayer Perceptron, and neural networks
  • LSTM and GRU experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of optimization techniques including L1/L2 regularization, Adam, Adagrad, and Adadelta
  • Knowledge of neural network cost functions including Contrastive Loss, Hinge Loss, Binary Cross Entropy, and Categorical Cross Entropy
  • Experience developing applications in KRR, NLP, speech processing, and image processing
  • Knowledge of production deep learning frameworks including TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, XGBoost, and Caffe
  • Theono experience is a plus
  • Must abide by Mastercard security policies and practices, ensure information confidentiality and integrity, report suspected security violations or breaches, and complete mandatory security training
