About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead GBSC People & Capability operations and strategy supporting benefits, compensation, leaves, mobility, payroll, new hire services, inquiry support, and other HR functions
- Define, deliver, and own the GBSC P&C roadmap, targeting business benefits, operational efficiency, and service excellence
- Implement governance frameworks using resources, processes, and automation to improve service delivery and realize savings
- Maintain productive work environments and lead, attract, and mentor high-performing teams across functions and geographies
- Perform financial planning, forecasting, budget tracking, workforce planning, and capacity management
- Partner with stakeholders on complex needs, escalations, customer impacts, reprioritization, and future operational needs
- Support platform security posture by identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans and controls
- Manage relationships with C-suite, regional, business-unit, and executive stakeholders
- Participate in the CPO’s People & Capabilities Leadership Team committee
- Partner with the P&C Transformation Office and executive leadership on enterprise-wide initiatives
- Optimize resource delivery across onshore, offshore, and third-party locations
- Oversee process, audit, and key-control risk identification and improvement
- Ensure KPIs and service levels are met and drive root-cause mitigation and corrective actions
- Oversee M&A due diligence and integration activities
- Manage vendor relationships and approve vendor selection
- Support expansion of services and co-create technology-, scale-, and customer-experience strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience overseeing HR shared services and operations teams, with a deep focus on operations, systems, performance metrics, and data analytics
- Payroll operations experience is required
- Proven ability to scale HR shared services or HR operations initiatives globally and align them with broader business objectives
- Strong financial acumen and ability to assess operational risk
- Significant background managing large-scale, multi-functional global operations and strategic transformation initiatives in a complex and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to build trust, collaborative relationships, and executive buy-in
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and build followership through complex change
- Proven success transforming organizations through continuous improvement enabled by digital technologies and automation
- Ability to identify and frame opportunities and solutions in a structured, data-driven way
- Ability to work independently, act with urgency, and solve problems
- Track record leading and delivering continuous process improvement, automation, and software solutions
- Ability to design, align, and execute enterprise initiatives from start to finish
- Ability to develop, track, course-correct, and iterate a metrics-driven system roadmap
- Previous shared services and/or outsourcing experience is a plus
- Must abide by Mastercard security policies and practices, protect information confidentiality and integrity, report suspected security violations or breaches, and complete mandatory security training
