About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end AI engineering delivery from solution design through development, production deployment, adoption, and value realization
- Build and scale reusable AI assets, agent patterns, multi-agent orchestration, workflow automation, shared components, and evolving AI capabilities
- Drive execution against prioritized business needs and deliver measurable business value
- Partner with AI Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Data, Security, Architecture, Risk, Product, and business teams
- Own production readiness, including reliability, resiliency, observability, scalability, lifecycle management, and operational performance
- Embed Responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, compliance, and auditability throughout the AI engineering lifecycle
- Drive adoption and measure product performance, customer impact, productivity, risk reduction, and business outcomes
- Lead and develop a global organization of AI engineering leaders, architects, and AI engineers
- Build talent, accountability, and engineering excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Years of leadership experience in AI engineering, software or product engineering, or enterprise technology delivery
- Proven success delivering and scaling enterprise AI products, agentic AI applications, intelligent automation, or mission-critical digital platforms
- Strong technical understanding of agentic AI, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), multi-agent orchestration, workflow automation, and new and evolving AI capabilities
- Experience with hybrid cloud and cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, enterprise integration, and modern AI engineering
- Experience leading production technology in highly regulated environments with accountability for security, resiliency, governance, compliance, and risk
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional engineering delivery and execution at enterprise scale
- Proven people leadership experience, including leading leaders, building high-performing global engineering organizations, coaching and developing talent, and driving accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices

- Report suspected information security violations or breaches
- Complete periodic mandatory security trainings
