About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join MasterControl's Context Engineering team and build real product features using AI development tools from day one
Build full-stack features for MissionControl, including React/TypeScript web UI, server, and MCP tools
Contribute to the Rust self-upgrading launcher and its supply-chain hardening
Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Vitest and Playwright
Create data pipelines and work with PostgreSQL databases handling millions of records
Deploy services to Kubernetes and set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
Use Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode for rapid development, test generation, and code reviews
Build AI-tool usage analytics systems, including data collection servers, analytics dashboards, and Kubernetes cloud infrastructure
Contribute across MissionControl's core app, MCP server and tooling, Rust launcher, and Astro website

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience or proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript, Rust, React, Material-UI, Astro, Vitest, Playwright, Node.js, MCP, Jira/Atlassian APIs, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Position intended for students of Northeastern University as part of the Co-op Program, but all applications will be considered
