About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own design work end to end, from initial sketch through high fidelity and shipment
Define design principles, references, and patterns for a cohesive product experience
Direct AI agents performing production work in Figma and review their output
Improve AI-assisted design workflows
Complete and maintain Matia's Figma design system with the engineering owner
Design complex schemas, sync states, monitors, lineage, and large tables for data engineers
Study leading data and developer tools and apply insights to design reviews
Prioritize rapidly with PMs, provide pushback when needed, and ship at startup speed
Own design across ETL, Reverse ETL, Observability, Catalog, and AI features
Report to the VP of Product in New York and collaborate daily with PMs and engineers in Ramat Gan

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years as a Product Designer, including time at an early-stage B2B startup
Portfolio of shipped, high-fidelity product work with strong visual judgment in typography, layout, and hierarchy
Expert in Figma, including components, variants, variables, and auto layout
Hands-on experience building or rebuilding a design system
Experience designing complex, data-dense products such as developer tools, infrastructure, analytics, or data platforms
High urgency and full ownership
Experience using AI tools in the design workflow every week
Clear written and verbal English
Confidence presenting and defending design decisions to PMs, engineers, and leadership
Experience within a data tools company (nice-to-have)
Experience as the first or only designer at a startup (nice-to-have)
Experience contributing to brand, website, or marketing design (nice-to-have)
