About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead project designs and direct architects and designers to complete architectural designs according to accepted practices and company standards
  • Assist with and lead development of contract documents, including Revit models, drawings, details, specifications, and installation scopes of work
  • Lead development and maintenance of Revit standards, templates, and libraries
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager on team improvements, technology needs, sales strategies, proposal development, and production efficiency
  • Mentor architects and designers
  • Manage discipline project budgets using Work Breakdown Structures Reports (WBS)
  • Supervise and direct assigned project personnel
  • Control project productivity, resource hours, project changes, and adherence to scope of services
  • Maintain and submit budget and schedule forecasts to project and department managers and clients
  • Maintain project correspondence files, including memos, letters, scope change documentation, and related documents
  • Maintain positive client relations and develop potential work opportunities
  • Work safely and adhere to Matrix and client-established safety standards
  • Perform industrial field work as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without employer sponsorship
  • An accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree is required
  • Master of Architecture is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a registered Architect in Industrial Architecture
  • Successful completion of the Intern Development Program (IDP)
  • Successful completion of the Architect Registration Exam (ARE)
  • State Registered – Registered Architect in at least one jurisdiction with NCARB certificate
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% local/daytime travel and 5% overnight travel annually
  • Strong understanding of building codes and all building systems
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients
  • Self-driven, self-starter, and problem solver
  • Ability to manage projects and coordinate architects, engineers, and designers
  • Must be able to perform occasional industrial field work and lift/move objects up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work around hazardous locations, inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, noise, ladders, uneven ground, stairs, and known food allergens
