About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and qualify new lending opportunities across Colombia and, over time, other markets in the region
  • Build and maintain a pipeline from sourcing through Investment Committee submission
  • Represent iGravity in local investment ecosystems
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on prospective portfolio companies
  • Analyze financial statements and review business plans
  • Synthesize financial, operational, commercial, and impact findings into investment recommendations
  • Lead structuring of debt facilities, including term loans, working capital facilities, revenue-based and hybrid instruments
  • Design covenant packages and risk mitigants
  • Manage execution from term sheet to disbursement in coordination with legal counsel
  • Draft investment memoranda covering strategy, financial models, scenario analysis, and impact assessment
  • Present findings and recommendations to Investment Committees
  • Monitor assigned borrowers, including covenants, financial and impact performance, and monitoring visits
  • Escalate early warnings and present watchlist cases to the Risk Committee
  • Contribute to investor reporting
  • Complete a 1–2 hour home-based assessment as part of the selection process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or international development
  • CPA/ACCA or CFA is an added advantage
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in SME or growth-stage company lending, credit analysis, or debt-focused investment roles in Latin America or impact investing contexts
  • Proven credit assessment skills, including loan structuring, covenant design, collateral evaluation, and cash-flow-based underwriting for SMEs
  • Experience with structured lending, asset-backed financing, or trade-related financing instruments is preferred
  • Experience building financial models focused on debt-servicing capacity
  • Experience drafting investment memoranda and supporting documentation for Investment Committee approval
  • Exposure to impact measurement and management (IMM) frameworks
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to process and synthesize large amounts of information
  • Ability to work with early-stage or fast-growing companies in dynamic environments
  • Full proficiency in English
  • Mastery of MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Colombian citizenship or a valid Colombian work permit
  • Ability to demonstrate a debt investment track record through relevant SME financing transactions
