About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research UK equities using qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Conduct due diligence and contribute to asset allocation and investment strategy
  • Support investment selection, portfolio construction and ongoing oversight
  • Write research reports and present findings to investment teams and other stakeholders
  • Use investment research, portfolio management and risk systems, and sometimes lead improvements to them
  • Improve investment data, management information and reporting
  • Work with external parties such as brokers and system providers
  • Debate investment ideas with colleagues
  • Report to the Fund Manager and work with the wider Investment Research and Asset Allocation teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in investment management or investment research
  • A strong understanding of financial markets
  • Experience in equity and fund manager selection, portfolio oversight or asset allocation
  • Ability to interpret complex data and form investment views
  • Ability to present investment ideas clearly to different audiences
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with investment systems such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar or FE
  • Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and a collaborative approach to debating investment ideas
  • CISI Level 4 or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with Power BI/Python (or other programming languages) and CFA is highly desirable
