About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute global strategic sourcing strategies for rack and key hardware component categories
- Lead commercial negotiations, supplier selections, RFXs, and pricing agreements
- Manage supplier relationship management programs, executive business reviews, and supplier scorecards
- Partner with Hardware Engineering to assess market capabilities, influence design for total cost of ownership, and mitigate single-source risks
- Collaborate with Legal and Contract Management to draft, finalize, and execute commercial and engineering contracts
- Drive total cost of ownership reduction initiatives while supporting rapid hardware iteration schedules
- Manage sourcing strategy for datacenter rack development, integration, contract manufacturing strategy, and key vendor partnerships
- Build and execute supplier strategies aligned with NPI-to-production schedules
- Manage rack-level integration partners, ensure quality, and secure favorable commercial terms
- Partner with Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to identify technical requirements, risks, and opportunities
- Transition key component categories from early development to volume supply
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, global supply management, or procurement within high-tech, rack manufacturing, or advanced hardware industries
- Proven track record of negotiating complex multi-million dollar contracts and securing favorable commercial terms with tier-1 suppliers
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to converse effectively with hardware architects and domain engineering leads
- Deep familiarity with supply chain dynamics, risk management, and vendor cost structure analysis
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and strategic leadership capabilities
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth environment requiring end-to-end category ownership
- Ability to perform job functions in compliance with U.S. export control laws without obtaining a license from U.S. export control authorities
- U.S. work authorization/export-control eligibility as specified in the application questions
