About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage paperwork on elevated cases throughout the enrollment process, including contacting physicians as needed
- Support Research and Support Coordinators with paperwork routing
- Ensure timely determination of daily assignments for elevated cases
- Use HCSIS, SAMS, and Access databases
- Report outcomes on an ongoing basis
- Educate clients by phone and email to support program initiatives
- Record follow-up in the tracking spreadsheet and applicants' records in Harmony
- Handle complex and escalated cases
- Conduct detailed research across multiple systems
- Collaborate with state agencies, partner organizations, and internal teams
- Communicate with applicants and stakeholders by phone, email, mail, and in-person interactions
- Support high-volume workloads and service-level commitments
- Contribute to training and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required and 1+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience handling complex customer service inquiries and problems via telephone
- Ability to respond to email inquiries
- Ability to handle non-routine calls requiring deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures
- Ability to adapt responses and conduct extensive research based on customer responses
- Experience using computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting
- Ability to handle escalated or unresolved calls
- Judgment in resolving moderately difficult issues and making solution recommendations
- Residency in Pennsylvania
- Must be willing and able to travel one week per month to the Harrisburg, PA office
- Internet speed of 20 Mbps or higher
- Home internet connectivity via Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 Ethernet patch cable
- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
- Preferred: grievance and complaint handling experience
- Preferred: case management experience
- Preferred: QA/QC, data entry, and/or document processing experience
- Preferred: exceptional communication skills
