About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex technical issues on Mitsubishi laser machinery
- Perform mechanical and electrical inspections, including dismantling, rebuilding, and system adjustments
- Provide remote troubleshooting support by phone when appropriate
- Explain issues, timelines, and repair outcomes professionally to customers
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams for analysis and repair
- Document service activities, findings, and resolutions
- Complete and submit expense reports accurately and on time
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles
- Perform additional duties supporting customer satisfaction and department operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Working knowledge of machining, manufacturing processes, or industrial equipment
- Proficiency using voltmeters, multimeters, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
- Ability to use Windows-based computer and service software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working at heights when required
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Ability to travel extensively Monday–Friday
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues
- Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Experience using electrical measurement equipment, such as voltmeters and oscilloscopes
- Experience using precision measurement tools, such as indicators, micrometers, and feeler gauges
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, standing, and hand-intensive work
- Ability to lift/carry up to 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to push/pull equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Good visual acuity, including color recognition
