About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and reducing future infestation risks
- Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
- Help with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
- Maintain, stock, and ensure proper working condition of pest control equipment
- Comply with local, state, and federal pest control product and safety regulations
- Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
- Perform industry-leading pest management services for commercial customers
- Identify and eliminate pests from commercial properties using inspections, treatments, and preventative measures
- Communicate with clients about pest control solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
- Clean-shaven face required so respirators can seal properly
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present information in internal and external settings
- Basic math skills, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to follow instructions for mixing products according to product labels
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Ability to work in confined spaces, around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
- Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
