About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the overall account and client executive responsible for project success from award with little to no operational oversight
- Lead large or multiple projects and teams
- Oversee project profitability, chargeability, team development, and engagement
- Lead the preconstruction process from start to finish
- Assist with proposals, interviews, and project pursuits
- Maintain the existing client portfolio and industry network
- Participate in community and professional associations
- Implement company initiatives and grow company culture
- Develop future operations leaders through direct leadership and coaching
- Participate in succession planning, recruitment, interviews, and talent development
- Serve as executive-level client leader and maintain relationships with clients, design teams, trade partners, and associates
- Set up projects, develop preconstruction strategies, manage risk, and coordinate procurement and submittal planning
- Oversee project execution, operational procedures, logistics, safety, quality, schedules, change control, and continuous improvement
- Lead project financial plans, risk registers, cost reconciliation, budget recovery, pay applications, change orders, cash flow, and WIP forecasting
- Lead contract development and review, ensuring contracts, COIs, safety items, and delay documentation are complete
- Ensure projects achieve financial completion, warranty establishment, and closeout
- Support winning work through RFPs/RFQs, proposals, interviews, fees, schedules, approaches, and client strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 15+ years’ experience
- Proficiency in/ability to learn Procore and Microsoft Project
- Proficiency in computer applications, preferably Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to take a leadership role on projects from start to finish
- Proven consistent track record of successful projects/project management
- Proven track record of superior budget management and accurate monthly cost projections
- Demonstrated ability to develop project schedules and manage from beginning to end
- Proven track record of proactive approach to problem resolution and issues management
- Demonstrated relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage more than one project at a time
- Proficient in running project-related meetings, including Progress, OAC, and pre-installation meetings
- This position requires work in an office environment and construction job sites
