About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate and manage models from design and trade partners across various software platforms
Establish project-level BIM schedules, file transfer protocols, and model standards and expectations
Review models for major changes, errors, omissions, conflicts, incomplete information, and ambiguous design information
Assist with development of materials for interviews and presentations
Link construction schedules to models for sequencing and constructability reviews
Create virtual mockup models illustrating constructability, means and methods, and work sequences
Assist with clash detection, including model collection, clash detective setup, and clash view organization
Perform field laser scanning and process data for use and analysis
Fly drones for reality capture of jobsite conditions, process data, and provide analysis to project teams
Use 360 cameras for interior reality capture, process data, and provide analysis to project teams
Link and embed information into models during construction for project closeout

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
3+ years of experience in VDC or 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction operations, or similar AEC role
Knowledge of VDC Services including preconstruction integrations, field applications, reality capture, and emerging technologies
Proficiency in computer applications, including Autodesk, Navisworks, Revit and AutoCAD, and Trimble SketchUp
