About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support successful sales engagements by providing advanced technical expertise across MCG’s products and platform
  • Translate customer technical requirements into scalable, secure solution designs aligned with integration architectures, implementation approaches, application environments, and security needs
  • Serve as liaison between customer technical stakeholders and MCG’s Product, Engineering, Security, and Implementation teams
  • Partner with Sales Executives and clinician-led Sales Solution Architects on complex pre-sales engagements across payer and provider markets
  • Serve as primary technical contact for customer and prospective IT, security, architecture, and digital health stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
  • Lead technical solution strategies involving Smart on FHIR, RESTful APIs, healthcare data exchange, enterprise integrations, FHIR, and HL7
  • Apply API-driven, service-based, and event-driven architectures to support embedded workflows, extensibility, scalability, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Explain and validate integration approaches for structured and unstructured healthcare data, including normalization, transformation, and downstream usage
  • Articulate AI model inputs, outputs, governance, oversight, and integration into clinical and operational workflows
  • Lead complex enterprise deals involving EHR integrations and digital ecosystem expansion
  • Influence solution positioning and commercial strategy by aligning architecture with customer outcomes
  • Contribute to long-term solution strategy based on market feedback and enterprise customer needs
  • Own technical due diligence, security reviews, vendor risk assessments, RFP/RFI responses, and penetration testing discussions
  • Discuss authentication, authorization, identity management, OAuth2, SSO, role-based access controls, and secure data exchange
  • Design and present solution architectures, system diagrams, data-flow diagrams, integration specifications, and deployment models
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, SEAD, Security, and Implementation teams to validate feasibility, constraints, and scope
  • Communicate technical capabilities, limitations, dependencies, and trade-offs to stakeholders
  • Assist with implementation approaches, integration timelines, and technical prerequisites for post-sale handoff
  • Develop technical collateral, reference architectures, and enablement materials with Marketing and Revenue Operations
  • Identify and mitigate technical and architectural risks, including data quality, integration complexity, interoperability, security posture, and deployment constraints

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of experience discussing complex technical integrations, architecture, AI-enabled solutions, and workflow integration to large healthcare customers
  • Experience responding to detailed security, privacy, and compliance questions from enterprise customers
  • Strong understanding of modern software development concepts, API-driven integrations, service-based architectures, and embedded application workflows
  • Demonstrated experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR and HL7, and supporting Smart on FHIR–based integrations
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills and exceptional client-facing communication abilities
  • Travel up to 25% to client sites and MCG-sponsored events
  • Relevant technical certifications preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative, customer-focused mindset with the ability to build trust and credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working through ambiguity in complex technical environments
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in documenting technical requirements and risks
  • Required to attend in-person meetings and/or conduct in-person trainings at clients’ worksites
  • Must meet applicable client site requirements, which may include full COVID-19 vaccination
