About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage procurement activities for major technical and capital investment projects
- Lead purchasing, price, and contract negotiations in German and English
- Build, manage, and continuously develop sustainable supplier relationships
- Analyze national and international procurement markets
- Identify, select, and evaluate suitable suppliers
- Optimize procurement processes and purchasing costs
- Work closely with project management, engineering, and other departments
- Support the implementation of compliance and sustainability requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed commercial or technical education (e.g., business college, technical college, university of applied sciences, or university degree)
- Several years of professional experience in technical or strategic procurement
- Experience in plant engineering, pipeline construction, or comparable technical industries is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of contract negotiations and supplier management
- Confident manner with strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Fluent German and English, with strong negotiation skills in both languages
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Moderate willingness to travel
