About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the direct relationship with customers and oversee, implement, and manage third-party logistics customer partnerships
  • Work with customers to design and execute complex project plans for successful launch and management of third-party logistics programs
  • Collaborate with McKesson, customers, and domestic and international business partners
  • Maintain an understanding of customer business challenges and demands to build long-term relationships, drive satisfaction, and generate additional sales/profit
  • Assist new customer sales efforts through RFP responses, customer site visits, quality audits, and capability presentations
  • Ensure success of the total customer value stream
  • Serve as primary point of contact and internal advocate for assigned strategic accounts
  • Translate client objectives into value propositions and action plans
  • Drive product and service adoption and utilization
  • Deliver value-based selling, expand account footprint, and access new client areas
  • Negotiate and execute contract renewals and drive organic growth through up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Coordinate solutions to complex problems with Engineering, Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations
  • Communicate customer challenges and opportunities to stakeholders
  • Forecast and track account health metrics and maintain reports, account plans, opportunities, and activities in CRM
  • Develop client business stories and present them in monthly or quarterly business reviews and to internal leadership
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional projects involving product/service innovation and operational enhancements
  • Work remotely from a home office and travel up to 25% as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 years of distribution or client-facing account management experience, preferably in Third-Party Logistics, Drug Distribution, PBM, or finance
  • Degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
  • Client Experience Management with medium to large strategic/complex customers
  • Experience with contract management, administration, and pricing negotiations
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to develop strategies and grow revenue and EBITA
  • Strong aptitude to meet contractual processes and procedures
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to organize thoughts and structure responses relative to the audience
  • Professional, executive presence
  • Strategic problem solving and decision-making ability
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict
  • Ability to build and deliver effective presentations to executive stakeholders
  • Ability to build a presentation deck and deliver presentations to internal/external audiences
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel
  • ERP experience; SAP strongly preferred
  • Pricing, contracting, and chargeback experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to assess reports for trends and identify gaps
