About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team of field-based reimbursement managers and manage day-to-day program operations
Hire, develop, coach, evaluate, build culture, and lead the reimbursement team
Support specialty physician offices and the pharmaceutical manufacturer client
Manage staffing, profitability, standard operating procedures, process design, implementation, and improvements
Monitor client SLA agreements and make staffing or process changes when needed
Supervise a nationwide remote-based team, including activity monitoring, performance development, in-person training, and ride-alongs
Liaise with the client and McKesson teams including Client Services, Information Systems, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Training
Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings, team meetings, monthly check-ins, quarterly performance surveys, and monthly quality audits
Establish weekly meetings with the client and operations team and lead regular team teleconferences
Conduct quarterly ride-alongs for ongoing training and development
Execute Field Operations projects and improve program efficiency
Ensure SLA, contractual, privacy, and compliance commitments are met
Oversee daily team activities and report results to McKesson Client Services and client contacts
Produce monthly and quarterly client reports with the Senior Manager
Manage client expectations and provide consultative process improvement, revenue-generating, and cost-saving recommendations
Assist with and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews
Establish development opportunities and provide ongoing training for Field Reimbursement Managers

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of reimbursement experience
2+ years of supervisory experience
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
Experience supporting a Field Reimbursement Team preferred
Experience managing a field-based team, with field-based reimbursement team management strongly preferred
Proven account management/client management experience, preferably in pharmacy or healthcare
Proven direct communication experience with pharmaceutical clients or stakeholders
Ability to develop strong team relationships and focus individuals on team goals
Ability to manage multiple projects according to budget and timelines
Detailed understanding and experience with process documentation and improvement
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to travel 60–80% (3–4 days a week) by automobile or plane
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record/MVR
