About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the dedicated Pharmacy Value Stream Release Train Engineer and chief facilitator
  • Enable alignment, execution, and continuous improvement across multiple teams
  • Establish the operating cadence from strategy through delivery within the Pharmacy Suites SAFe Operating Model and Lean Portfolio Management framework
  • Coach teams and leaders, improve predictability, manage dependencies, solve complex delivery challenges, and deliver value at scale
  • Design, facilitate, and improve value stream and ART-level operating cadences, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner Syncs, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and PI execution reviews
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional planning and execution events
  • Prepare teams and leaders for PI Planning by aligning priorities, capacity, dependencies, risks, objectives, and backlog readiness
  • Facilitate Program Board creation, planning alignment, confidence voting, risk ROAMing, and capture of committed and stretch PI objectives
  • Make cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers, and impediments visible and actively managed
  • Monitor and improve flow, address systemic bottlenecks, mediate conflicts and dependency trade-offs, and escalate unresolved issues
  • Track performance, flow metrics, ART health, and delivery outcomes
  • Use AI-enabled analytics and dashboards to identify patterns and bottlenecks, surface risks, and support data-driven decisions
  • Lead Inspect & Adapt workshops, retrospectives, problem-solving sessions, and improvement backlogs
  • Coach teams and leaders on Lean-Agile principles, decentralized decision-making, and system-level thinking
  • Align Product Management, Technology, User Experience, Data, portfolio partners, and business leadership
  • Communicate delivery risks, dependencies, decisions, and improvement opportunities
  • Use AI-assisted tools for facilitation, scenario modeling, and dependency management; apply predictive insights to optimize sequencing and improve decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant professional experience in Agile delivery, program delivery, product development, technology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting Agile teams in a scaled environment
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional planning and execution events
  • Strong working knowledge of SAFe, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, PI Planning, dependency management, flow, and continuous improvement practices
  • Advanced facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop practical approaches to complex problems, apply sound judgment with limited direction, anticipate change, and redirect efforts as needed
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and communicate credibly with delivery teams, senior leaders, and cross-functional partners
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to connect delivery patterns, risks, dependencies, and organizational outcomes
  • Experience using Agile planning and collaboration tools such as Atlassian and Miro
  • Preferred: SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Practice Consultant, SAFe Agilist, Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Coach, PMP, or comparable certification
  • Preferred: Experience supporting pharmacy products, pharmacy operations, pharmacy technology, medication access, or another healthcare delivery environment
  • Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted facilitation, predictive delivery insights, scenario modeling, or automation of Agile metrics and reporting
  • Preferred: Experience working in a product-led operating model or value stream environment spanning product, engineering, data, user experience, and business teams
