About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop macro-level strategic direction for SCS sub-segments, including Strategic Accounts, Health Mart, CPH, and Specialized Care Pharmacy
- Translate market and competitive insights into where-to-play and how-to-win choices
- Serve as a thought partner in developing SCS's 3–5 year strategy
- Partner with segment leaders and the Strategy & Transformation team to inform strategic options and stress-test assumptions
- Drive structured processes supporting segment leaders' decision-making
- Provide analytical frameworks, synthesized recommendations, and scenario-based perspectives
- Collaborate with corporate strategy, finance, and business unit leaders to build a comprehensive fact base
- Facilitate SCS leadership planning sessions and align annual priorities
- Define intent, scope, and key choices for annual priority initiatives
- Develop actionable insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, emerging risks, and opportunities
- Manage primary research projects end-to-end, including research design, data collection, analysis, and recommendations
- Work across SCS business segments with direct visibility into senior leadership decisions
- Report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or equivalent and typically 10+ years of strategy or consulting experience, or relevant healthcare industry experience
- 4-year bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a strategy, consulting, or finance-oriented program preferred
- Strong strategic thinking and strategy development capability
- Ability to evaluate industry trends and develop short- and long-term implications
- Analytical rigor and ability to structure undefined problems
- Ability to synthesize disparate sources into decision-ready recommendations
- Executive presence and clear, concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority
- High degree of independence, resourcefulness, and self-direction
- Intellectual versatility and comfort with ambiguity
- Healthcare industry knowledge
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer support or sponsorship now or in the future
