About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create, deploy, and support software for managing large, semi-automated pharmacies at sites across the US
  • Maintain legacy software in C++/MFC
  • Fix bugs and enhance software
  • Analyze issues
  • Architect and develop major new features under limited supervision
  • Enhance existing projects
  • Provide support for major customers
  • Troubleshoot difficult and complex support issues
  • Work across the full software stack, from low-level robot and conveyor controls through controllers and databases to UI and web services
  • Participate in rotational on-call support over weekends/evenings
  • Travel sporadically, potentially up to 25%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires 4+ years’ experience as a Windows software developer
  • Strong experience designing/writing high-speed back-end code in Visual C++ and MFC
  • Experience with C# with ASP.NET and/or .NET Core, and MVC
  • Strong SQL with Microsoft SQL Server and/or MariaDB/MySQL
  • Experience with RESTful API services
  • Expertise developing multi-threaded and distributed applications
  • Professional demeanor and communications suitable for direct customer interactions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, TDD, and automated testing
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Service-oriented architecture and/or microservices architectures are a plus
  • Experience with Entity Framework and Entity Framework Core
  • Knowledge of service monitoring, performance tuning, and testing tools
  • Experience with AngularJS, HTML5, React, or similar web technologies
  • Desktop application development experience using WPF, WCF, and MVVM design pattern
  • Experience with hardware interfaces, including sockets and serial interfaces
  • Comfort with basic Windows workstation and domain administration
  • Networking knowledge, including VPN and firewall configuration
  • Experience with real-time controls/PLC systems and integration, especially Beckhoff
  • Ability to provide on-call rotational support over weekends/evenings
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline, or experience, is desired
