About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle all operational processing of insurable and/or non-insurable benefits transactions, including enrollments, terminations, changes, upgrades, and/or extension plans, using the portals and/or systems of insurance carriers and/or providers to ensure that all processing is completed accurately.
  • Download billing packages through the portals and/or systems of insurance carriers and/or providers and send them to clients in an organized and secure manner.
  • Review invoices by verifying all data and/or information contained in the billing package files.
  • Review all documents received, identifying contradictory data and/or information, omissions, errors, incorrect numbers or documents, and outdated information.
  • Maintain records of all transactions processed.
  • Provide personalized customer support to clarify questions and provide information about billing and/or cost allocation.
  • Review dependents who reach the applicable age of majority and process terminations when they exceed the eligible age limit.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend actions to support continuous improvement in operational performance.
  • Perform other related professional duties inherent to the position, as required by the department.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in the insurance industry, with operational processes for health, dental, and life insurance products.
  • Customer focus, professionalism, collaboration, innovation, organization, analytical skills, and resilience.
