About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join the Annual Health Assessment, Dedicated Care, MCare, and Year-Round Care Clinic teams
- Build strong relationships with patients and understand interconnected aspects of their health and wellness journeys
- Develop comprehensive clinical and wellness diagnoses and treatment plans
- Utilize extensive referral partners and make recommendations for patient care
- Engage with the broader team through daily lunches, on-site continuing medical education, and innovative product development initiatives
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed based on the clinical team and business area
- Provide proactive, relationship-based care extending beyond services funded under OHIP
- Deliver uninsured services including asynchronous advice, prescription management outside visits, proactive follow-up on results, and comprehensive preventive assessments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong service-minded approach to providing excellent comprehensive care
- Empathetic and collaborative working style to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Commit to working at Medcan for a minimum of 1 day per week
- Begin taking on patients at a manageable pace after onboarding at Medcan
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Active OHIP billing number
- CCFP designation, CCFP (EM) designation, or FRCPC designation
- Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset
