About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide comprehensive primary care through in-person and telemedicine visits
  • Deliver preventive care, annual wellness exams, health screenings, immunizations, and health promotion services
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses, minor injuries, infections, and episodic health concerns in adults and pediatric patients ages 5 and older
  • Manage chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, obesity, and hyperlipidemia
  • Provide urgent and episodic care, including stabilization and coordination of higher-level or emergency care
  • Perform and interpret point-of-care testing, laboratory services, and health risk assessments
  • Provide patient education, health coaching, and lifestyle counseling
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, hospitals, employee assistance programs, and community healthcare resources
  • Assess and treat occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct medical surveillance, regulatory examinations, hearing conservation, vision screening, respirator fit testing, and drug and alcohol testing
  • Manage return-to-work and workers’ compensation programs
  • Support workplace wellness, health promotion, and preventive health initiatives
  • Collaborate with client Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety, Medcor teams, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response planning
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation using electronic medical record systems
  • Perform patient intake, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, inventory and supply management, scheduling coordination, and general clinic operations as the sole onsite provider

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or a master’s degree from an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Education, training, certification, and clinical experience necessary to independently evaluate and treat pediatric patients ages 5 and older
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current BLS and CPR certification
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience practicing independently in a primary care setting
  • Experience with autonomous assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions across a broad patient population
  • Experience using electronic medical records and other clinical technology
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote clinical and operational teams
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies
  • Patient-focused approach and commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the scheduled shift
  • Ability to lift or move medical equipment, carry a jump bag weighing up to 50 pounds, assist patients with ambulation, and respond to emergencies
  • Ability to work around infectious materials, workplace noise, varying temperatures, and industrial environments
  • Preferred: additional primary care experience; urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, employee health, or related clinical experience; workplace injury, workers’ compensation, medical surveillance, and regulatory examination experience; employer-based, onsite, or occupational health clinic experience
