About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the direction, priorities and objectives of the Employee Relations and Employment Law department
- Manage, unite and develop a team of two employment lawyers
- Organize the department’s activities, resources and budget
- Foster cooperation and cross-functional collaboration within the HR Directorate and with other departments
- Monitor activity through performance indicators and implement the necessary adjustments
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects within the department’s scope
- Advise senior management on employee relations issues and prepare the necessary developments
- Organize employee representative elections and schedule key deadlines with employee representative bodies
- Prepare, facilitate and lead employee representative meetings and labor negotiations
- Inform and consult employee representative bodies on major organizational projects
- Oversee the implementation of agreements reached and ensure communication with social partners
- Maintain constructive employee relations and social dialogue
- Identify, assess and monitor risks related to the application of French and international employment law
- Conduct regular legal and legislative monitoring
- Support the organization in interpreting and applying the employment law framework
- Contribute to reviewing and strengthening HR processes
- Provide practical legal advice to managers and HR representatives
- Support the handling of sensitive individual cases
- Ensure the confidentiality and secure handling of cases
- Manage and monitor individual and collective litigation
- Assess the associated legal and financial risks
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders
- Select and monitor external service providers
- Anticipate the employee relations impact of projects and organizational transformations
- Define a communication strategy that facilitates the adoption of changes
- Make recommendations to senior management
- Work collaboratively with the various HR departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in employment law, labor law or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in employment law, gained notably as a specialized employment lawyer or in a similar legal role
- Strong knowledge of employment law, individual and collective employee relations, and negotiation techniques
- Knowledge of the operations of employee representative bodies and trade unions
- Experience managing individual and collective litigation
- Ability to identify, anticipate and manage employment-related and legal risks
- Comfortable advising, negotiating and making decisions in complex situations
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and cases handled
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Diplomatic, responsive and proactive, with the ability to make recommendations
- Comfortable managing a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaborative working tools
- Fluent spoken and written French and English
- A criminal record extract (Bulletin No. 3) will be required from anyone hired
- Background checks against international sanctions and watchlists may be conducted
Benefits
Comp & perks- Gross monthly salary: €4,644
- Fixed-term contract from November 24, 2026 to June 18, 2027
