About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support
- Support onboarding and training of new Project Managers
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or at-risk projects
- Balance resource allocation across projects
- Maintain visibility into active projects, timelines, risks, and dependencies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope
- Review project plans, forecasts, and deliverables for quality and alignment
- Partner with leadership to prioritize projects and manage capacity planning
- Define, implement, and enforce project management standards and best practices
- Ensure consistent use of tools, templates, and documentation
- Oversee change control, risk management, and approval governance processes
- Provide portfolio-level reporting to leadership
- Translate project data into insights, risks, and recommendations
- Align with Sales, Product, Development, Integration, and Leadership teams
- Support pre-sales efforts with scoping, timelines, and resource estimates
- Oversee project budgets, hours, and utilization across the PMO
- Monitor KPIs and delivery metrics
- Identify scope, cost, or staffing risks proactively
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Support go-live readiness and handoff to support teams
- Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned
- Improve delivery efficiency, scalability, and PMO processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- 5–8+ years of software/SaaS project management experience
- 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience
- Experience managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects
- Experience with pre-sales scoping, budgeting, and timeline planning
- Experience working with executive-level stakeholders
- PMO leadership and portfolio management
- People management and coaching
- Advanced project planning, risk, and change management
- Strong executive and client communication
- Cross-functional leadership and escalation management
- Financial oversight and KPI tracking
- Proficiency with PM tools (Smartsheet, Google Suite, etc.)
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to travel up to 20%
