About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create educational illustrations and infographics that make complex ideas easier to understand across current and upcoming courses
Develop pictograms and icons that fit the Medify style and work at different sizes
Create playful illustrations for the website, marketing materials and product
Use AI tools for ideation and content creation, refining results with design judgement and craft
Help develop and maintain illustration guidelines while Medify refreshes its visual style
Review commissioned artwork and provide external illustrators with clear, constructive feedback
Work closely with the lead Illustrator and Learning team to understand briefs and produce effective visuals
Partner with Product Designers and Engineers to ensure artwork works well within the Medify interface
Help organise artwork libraries in Figma, Notion and Google Drive

Requirements

What you’ll need

Around 2–3 years of professional illustration or graphic design experience
Portfolio showing strong illustration and design skills, including composition, colour and drawing fundamentals
Ability to turn complex educational concepts into clear, appealing visuals
Confidence using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Figma
Thoughtful approach to feedback and keen eye for inconsistencies in artwork
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues and external contractors in a remote team
Comfort using AI tools as part of a creative workflow while maintaining a high standard of original craft
Experience working within an in-house design team or established visual identity (nice to have)
Interest in making education more enjoyable and accessible (nice to have)
Animation skills (nice to have)
