About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP/LTM, including virtual servers, pools, health monitors, profiles, persistence, iRules, SSL/TLS, and certificates
  • Administer and support Imperva WAF, including application onboarding, security policies, blocked-request and false-positive troubleshooting, and policy tuning
  • Troubleshoot application traffic across DNS, WAF, firewalls, load balancers, web/application servers, and backend services
  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server, including Active Directory-integrated environments, IIS, DNS, certificates, services, and permissions
  • Support VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, HA, DRS, vMotion, virtual machines, and clusters
  • Support production incidents, root-cause analysis, vulnerability remediation, patching, upgrades, and infrastructure changes
  • Participate in disaster recovery, failover testing, infrastructure monitoring, and capacity management
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and recovery procedures
  • Collaborate with Security, Network, Application, and Database teams to resolve complex infrastructure and application-delivery issues
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required
  • Follow application requests end-to-end across client, firewall, Imperva WAF, F5, web/application server, and backend services
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive activities, eliminate recurring incidents, improve documentation, and increase infrastructure reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Guatemala-based candidates with valid work authorization only
  • 3–5+ years of Systems Administration or Infrastructure Engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting F5 BIG-IP/LTM
  • Experience with Imperva WAF or comparable enterprise Web Application Firewall technologies
  • Strong Microsoft Windows Server administration experience
  • Experience administering VMware vSphere environments
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, certificates, load balancing, network protocols, and connectivity
  • Experience troubleshooting multi-tier enterprise applications
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Experience with F5 iRules and Imperva Cloud WAF preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft IIS and PowerShell preferred
  • Experience with VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, and infrastructure lifecycle management preferred
  • Experience with monitoring, vulnerability management, backup, and disaster-recovery technologies preferred
  • Experience supporting highly available or regulated environments preferred
  • F5, VMware, Microsoft, or security-related certifications are a plus
  • Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar regulatory and security requirements is a plus
