About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help patients navigate Medsien's remote patient monitoring programs and ensure adoption and use of equipment
- Accurately document patient information, enrollment details, and eligibility assessments in EHRs or designated systems
- Monitor enrollment application progress and communicate with patients
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate enrollment
- Educate patients about healthcare programs offered by Medsien
- Adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Work with healthcare providers, insurance companies, social workers, and other parties to ensure seamless enrollment
- Maintain ongoing monthly contact with assigned patients and build trusted care relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Possess an active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses to accurately assess patient eligibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion when interacting with patients
- Keen attention to detail for accurate completion of enrollment applications and documentation
- Effective organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple patient enrollments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and computer proficiency
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct when handling sensitive patient information
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and adaptability
