About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and build backend architecture for AI-powered automation systems
- Integrate and scale LLM-based product features with AI engineers and product teams
- Implement and evolve agent-based systems such as ReAct and supervisor-agent models
- Optimize RAG pipelines and context enrichment using structured and unstructured data
- Develop robust APIs for internal services and external integrations
- Ensure observability, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Grafana and OpenSearch
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
- Maintain technical documentation for newly designed systems and APIs
- Collaborate with AI engineers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Build production-grade systems automating clinical and operational workflows for MEDvidi's telemedicine platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of commercial backend development with Node.js in product companies, preferably SaaS
- Strong experience designing backend architectures and technical solutions
- Experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems and robust APIs
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production systems
- Experience designing and implementing multi-agent AI workflows in production
- Practical experience with modern AI frameworks
- Experience designing and optimizing RAG pipelines, including embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, ranking, and chunking
- Strong prompt engineering skills, including structured outputs, schema validation, and evaluation-based iteration
- Understanding of LLM infrastructure, tracing, observability, evaluation frameworks, safety mechanisms, guardrails, and performance/cost optimization
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and AWS, including CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, and ElastiCache
- Good understanding of observability and debugging, including Grafana and OpenSearch or similar
- Strong engineering culture: testing, CI/CD, reliability, and technical ownership
- Product-oriented mindset
- Proactive AI enthusiast mindset
- Fluent Russian; English B2+
- Experience with medical/healthcare AI or regulated environments would be a plus
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) in Node.js would be a plus
