Help build Suwali, a platform making organizations' knowledge and content accessible through messaging and conversational tools
Understand user and partner needs with technical and non-technical colleagues
Turn broader goals into practical plans, defining scope, tradeoffs, and manageable steps
Build and improve full-stack features with clear, usable, and polished user experiences
Own work from exploration and implementation through testing, deployment, and follow-up
Use feedback and available data to assess usefulness and identify adjustments
Keep teammates informed through clear communication and asynchronous updates
Report to the Director of Engineering
Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues to agree on goals and priorities and shape scope and approach
Potentially manage other engineers, support their growth, and coordinate team work

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional experience building and maintaining production applications with Ruby on Rails and React is preferable
Python experience is a plus
Comfortable working across frontend and backend
Good eye for usability
Ability to deliver well-tested, maintainable code
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Neo4j, LLM-powered conversational experiences, WhatsApp, SMS, and Signal is welcome but not required
Effective written and spoken English
Comfortable exploring unfamiliar parts of the product and stack
Open to using AI tools, evaluating their output carefully, and taking responsibility for shipped work
Primary availability between GMT -4 and +1 preferred
