About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own day-to-day database operations for a large North American automotive enterprise customer
- Operate and maintain RDS, Aurora, and self-managed databases
- Manage backup and recovery activities
- Validate that backups can be restored
- Execute disaster-recovery runbooks during critical events
- Collaborate with OS/middleware, EKS, network/security, and CCoE architecture engineers
- Handle escalations from the 24x7 monitoring team in Vietnam
- Support the customer’s expansion from standard MSP to Advanced MSP with a Cloud Center of Excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience operating databases and backup/recovery in AWS environments
- Experience with RDS, Aurora, and self-managed databases
- Ability to prove backups restore successfully
- Ability to execute disaster-recovery runbooks
- Ability to collaborate with OS/middleware, EKS, network/security, and CCoE architecture engineers
- Ability to work with a 24x7 monitoring team and handle escalations
- Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer
- Must disclose whether employment visa sponsorship is currently or subsequently required
