About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fill prescriptions safely and accurately
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership
- Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and expand and grow the pharmacy business
- Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians
- Motivate team members to perform to their highest level
- Practice pharmacy in a patient-directed, clinically oriented environment
- Follow Meijer policies and procedures and state and federal laws
- Listen to patients and resolve their needs through customer service
- Assume responsibility for pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge
- Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy
- Registered and licensed in the state of practice
- Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
- Retail/Community Practice
- Working knowledge of pharmacy system
- Working knowledge of policies and procedures
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in the state the unit operates
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload
