About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate and further develop the heterogeneous server and client environment
Modernize the IT infrastructure using container technologies and open-source solutions
Automate recurring tasks through scripting and software deployment
Manage Windows servers, virtualization, Exchange/Microsoft 365, as well as network and security components
Develop and implement independent projects within the team
Support end users and collaborate with the relevant departments
Contribute to cybersecurity, backup, monitoring, cloud integration, and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed vocational training as an IT specialist or comparable qualification
Professional experience in the areas listed above is desirable
Good knowledge of MS Windows Server, MS Exchange, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft 365
Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and Linux server systems
Experience with Microsoft Azure environments is an advantage
Collegial manner, excellent communication skills, and assertiveness
Enjoyment of sharing knowledge with others
Independent, solution-oriented approach with a strong focus on customer service and problem-solving
Very good German language skills (C1) and good English language skills (B2), both written and spoken
