About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct legal research on topics relevant to MEMX and summarize findings for the team
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and proofreading regulatory filings and other legal documents, agreements, and correspondence
- Help organize and maintain legal files, research, and other team resources
- Attend meetings and collaborate with attorneys and colleagues across the organization
- Support additional legal projects as needs arise throughout the summer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in a J.D. program
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear communication and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in person at our Midtown Manhattan office during the summer
- Permanent residence in one of MEMX’s approved states for remote work during the internship: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or Utah
