Project Manager – GHG Emission Calculation, Fuel Supply Chains

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and oversee projects focused on greenhouse gas calculations and sustainability reporting
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant GHG assessments aligned with regulatory and organizational sustainability targets
- Consult on projects involving renewable fuels and energy carriers, circular economy, bioeconomy, and chemical products
- Develop and review GHG calculators for fuel supply chains
- Support clients in optimizing carbon-intensity scores and conducting hotspot analyses
- Conduct feasibility studies, market research, analyses, and evaluations
- Prepare reports and market studies
- Support service portfolio development
- Manage proposals and tenders
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, client meetings, and project workshops
- Present the company at public national and international events
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in environmental engineering, chemistry, energy management, natural sciences, life sciences, agriculture, forestry, land management or a related field
- At least three years of relevant professional experience, e.g. in greenhouse gas calculations, sustainability certification and compliance, or auditing for international supply chains
- Hands-on experience applying EU RED GHG methodology, ICAO CORSIA GHG methodology, GHG Protocol, Product Carbon Footprints, and similar standards
- Knowledge of sustainability certification
- Knowledge of biofuels, PtX fuel conversion pathways, and global and EU-level policy requirements for fuel supply chains
- Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex issues simply
- Excellent German and English communication skills, both at least C1
- High degree of initiative and commitment; independent, pragmatic, hands-on working style
- Very good computer and MS Office skills and high general IT proficiency
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
