About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build a working financial model of an assigned consumer / leisure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack
  • Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions
  • Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria
  • Provide a short written rationale for each peer review
  • Complete a review scorecard
  • Work approximately 20–25 hours over 1.5–2 weeks
  • Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–4 years total experience
  • Approximately 2 years of investment banking experience in Consumer / Retail or generalist M&A, ideally in Paris, London, or elsewhere in Europe
  • Followed by 1–2 years in mid-market or large-cap private equity
  • Currently or recently an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer / leisure / multi-site services focus
  • Paris office or French deal experience preferred
  • Able to build a financial model from source documents without a template
  • English-speaking
  • Must be able to work as an independent contractor
  • H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
