About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write challenging single-turn prompts in radiological safety, labelled benign, dual-use, or adversarial
- Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard
- Judge whether responses handled technical requests correctly
- Write reference answers describing correct responses and the technical reasoning behind them
- Distinguish routine professional questions from requests with potential misuse intent
- Provide written rationales for judgments that non-specialists can understand
- Read and write about misuse scenarios for sustained periods
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have held the radiation safety licence and served as the person of record for acquisition, inventory, transfer, and disposal
- Relevant backgrounds include named RSO on a broad-scope licence; RSO or deputy RSO at a university, hospital, or research institute; industrial or irradiator RSO; licensing and compliance specialist; or radiation protection manager
- Experience with programme management, source inventory, regulatory compliance, Category 1 and 2 sealed sources, radiography, gauging, sterilisation, regulator submissions, amendments, inspections, ALARA, audits, training, and incident reporting may be relevant
- Strong writing ability; every judgment requires a written rationale understandable to a non-specialist
- Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is a strong signal
- Must not use classified or export-controlled information, NDA-covered information, or information subject to prepublication review obligations
- Must disclose any such obligations so the work can be scoped accordingly
