About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead new customer projects through the entire project lifecycle
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables
  • Coordinate product design, mould design, equipment development, validation activities and production readiness
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the project
  • Lead cross-functional project teams including Engineering, Tooling, Design, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain
  • Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation plans
  • Drive clear communication and regular project reviews with customers and stakeholders
  • Support APQP, PPAP, validation and customer-specific programme requirements
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with customer expectations and Mergon's quality standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Technical Services
  • Co-ordinate trials at supplier site and in house as relevant
  • Manage high volume trial at mass production location
  • For Medical projects, manage all Qualification phases as parts of the pre-determined process (IQ, OQ, PQ) as per ISO13485

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing or a related discipline
  • Proven project management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Self-awareness, learns from wins, failures, and mistakes and turns them into opportunities
  • Acts with a sense of urgency; multitasks and reprioritizes work appropriately
  • Helps others and generously shares expertise, best practice, information and knowledge
  • Experience within healthcare/medical device manufacturing
  • Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, validation and product development processes
  • Formal Project Management qualification
  • Experience working with international customers
