About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build integration features, RESTful APIs, and shared libraries, including event-driven and asynchronous flows
  • Improve integration logic in existing product applications and monolithic codebases
  • Follow and evolve API standards for versioning, contracts, and deprecation
  • Drive scoped designs through implementation, deployment, and production operation
  • Write unit and integration tests and contribute to acceptance and end-to-end coverage
  • Own work through the full SDLC, resolve production issues, and participate in support and on-call rotations
  • Contribute to the design and build-out of MeridianLink's enterprise integration platform
  • Identify recurring integration patterns for shared platform services and flag risks or design gaps
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews
  • Support onboarding and development of Engineer I teammates
  • Contribute to documentation that reduces tribal knowledge
  • Work alongside senior engineers and architects while growing into long-term ownership of integrations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, delivering features independently in a production environment
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design fundamentals
  • Proficiency with Git, Docker, automated testing, and modern scripting languages
  • Active daily use of AI-assisted development tools and modern AI coding harnesses such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including .NET Framework codebases
  • Experience building or contributing to production APIs and integration features
  • Experience working in large, established codebases
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests, including using AI to help build them
  • Ability to complete assigned features and bug fixes independently with limited day-to-day guidance
  • Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration flows, API contracts, versioning, and debugging across service boundaries
  • Must pass comprehensive background, credit, and drug checks as part of the offer process
  • Must provide valid documentation confirming identity and authorization to work in the United States
