About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take full responsibility for the opening, trading and closure of the venue
Assist the venue manager in the day-to-day activities of the venue
Ensure interior/exterior standards and housekeeping standards are maintained through regular inspection
Establish and maintain customer service standards and maximise income
Implement marketing/promotional activities to maximise revenue opportunities
Assist senior managers to maximise business opportunities within the venue
Ensure venue cash collections are carried out timely and accurately according to Company procedures
Ensure Company security procedures are followed by all employees
Conduct regular random checks of floats, keys and other items, taking action where necessary
Ensure the safety of employees and members of the public visiting the venue
Complete daily, weekly and periodical administration accurately and on time
Deal with day-to-day employee problems within the venue
Establish a good working environment
Promote the company positively when dealing with internal and external customers
Actively manage and promote safeguarding and social responsibility measures
Discourage harassment, bullying, victimisation and discrimination

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role within the gaming, retail, hospitality, or similar industry
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to detail
Experience with leading and mentoring others
Ability to be flexible and adaptable
Flexibility to work both day and night shifts (if your venue is a 24-hour operation)
A willingness to learn and develop
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team
Ability to work 40 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays
