About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand educational clients’ needs, challenges, goals, budgets, decision-making authority, and timelines
- Design customized solutions tailored to educational institutions
- Guide clients through complex decisions and align solutions with institutional goals and educational outcomes
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Leverage knowledge of Career and Technical Education equipment, educational technology, and emerging trends
- Stay current on industry developments, tools, and methodologies
- Provide expert advice and demonstrate thought leadership in innovative educational environments
- Collaborate with internal project teams, customers, external partners, marketing, business development, and support teams
- Integrate technical, pedagogical, and spatial design into cohesive solutions
- Act as liaison among stakeholders throughout the design process
- Oversee end-to-end solution design and implementation
- Track outcomes, gather feedback, and improve implemented solutions
- Provide post-implementation client support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Consultative selling approach focused on understanding prospects’ budget, decision-making authority, needs, and timeline
- Self-starter able to work autonomously
- At least 3 years of field sales experience with demonstrable results
- Experience in the K+ education market is a plus
- Proven track record of proactively seeking and securing new business opportunities
- Ability to efficiently manage a large pipeline of accounts
- Prospecting, territory management, time management, presentation, negotiation, closing, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Experience identifying, qualifying, and closing B2B deals ranging from $5,000 to over $50,000
- Ability to think, plan, and act strategically
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must pass criminal background and drug screening
- Strong skills in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and web searching
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently locally, nationally, and occasionally internationally
- Ability to attend an in-person cultural orientation in Gainesville, Florida, approximately 3–6 weeks after starting
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
