About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive hardware development from concept through mass production
- Own execution through EVT, DVT, and PVT milestones to production launch
- Coordinate firmware, mechanical, supply chain, operations, and other cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with JDM partners on system architecture, requirements, and build schedules
- Lead program reviews, surface risks, remove blockers, and maintain clear timelines
- Participate in design reviews and validation planning
- Coordinate supply chain and operations readiness for manufacturing and deployment
- Troubleshoot schematics, component decisions, and factory build issues
- Travel to Taiwan to collaborate with manufacturing and design teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Comfortable reading schematics
- Understanding of PCB layout fundamentals
- Ability to engage in system architecture discussions and tradeoffs
- Solid understanding of hardware development processes: design, bring-up, validation, and manufacturing
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to track multiple workstreams
- Ability to proactively follow through on open issues, risks, and dependencies
- Comfortable working with external JDM partners, suppliers, and vendors
- Clear communication and ability to work across disciplines
- Enjoys prototyping, testing, and refining designs through interaction
- Ability to work from the San Francisco office three days per week
- Ability to work in the United States; sponsorship requirement addressed in application
