About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as Meter’s technical counterpart to National and Strategic channel partners
  • Act as the go-to technical resource for partner engineers and SE leaders at CDW, SHI, Presidio, WWT, and similar partners
  • Support partners on end-customer opportunities from discovery and design through technical validation
  • Build and run an engagement cadence for each priority partner
  • Use transaction data to prioritize time and partner engagement
  • Host on-site and virtual technical training
  • Bring partner engineers through Meter Labs
  • Represent Meter at channel and partner events
  • Work with Product Marketing to deliver technical updates to the partner community
  • Stay aligned with Meter’s Distribution, National Partners, and Strategic Partners leaders
  • Report directly to the Head of Sales Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years as a Sales Engineer or Systems Engineer in enterprise networking
  • Significant experience as a partner or channel SE at an OEM or on the engineering side of a national VAR
  • Deep technical knowledge of switching, routing, wireless, and network security
  • Ability to whiteboard a design with a room of partner engineers
  • Existing relationships with National and Strategic VARs and MSPs
  • Experience building and delivering technical enablement and training
  • Proactive approach to setting engagement cadence and using data to prioritize
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Must address United States work sponsorship requirement in the application
